Summer launched as it has for the past 41 years with Fiesta Hermosa bringing fun, music, food and tons of folk to Hermosa Beach for the three-day Memorial Day weekend.
Set on downtown streets, Pier Plaza and a public parking lot, Fiesta Hermosa brought a record number of bicyclists, 4,470, who took advantage of the free bike valet provided by Hermosa Cyclery, said Matt Bennett, communications manager for event host the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Bureau.
"Everything went really well," said Bennett Tuesday afternoon. "The weather was perfect all weekend, we had a good crowd. Everybody seemed to be in a really good mood and have a really good time."
Staged for three days during the Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, the fiesta offers arts and crafts, vendors, live music, kids' carnival rides, a charity beer and wine garden and all sorts of food choices.
