Search for Missing Hermosa Beach Man on Again in Mendocino County
New hope propels ground search for man who went missing in Mendocino County nearly two months ago.
Search and rescue personnel are today conducting another ground search for Erik Lamberg, a Hermosa Beach man who went missing in Mendocino County shortly after Memorial Day weekend, according to a Facebook post.
The team is focused on the Skunk Train line's Clare Mill depot station, about 30 miles east of Fort Bragg and four miles west of Willits, a forested area with steep and treacherous terrain.
Lamberg, a married father of two who has bipolar disorder, was heading north to Oregon to find help in a rehab program at the time of his disappearance in late May. His abandoned van was found on an isolated road in forested Mendocino County on June 1 and he was last heard from on May 26.
New information from a professional night owl caller who found signs of life at Clare Mill on two visits, one on May 31 and the other June 30, has prompted the renewed ground search for Lamberg.
