Pier Repairs Postpone Re-Opening
The project to make repairs to the pier has moved beyond its original schedule.
The re-opening of the Hermosa Beach Pier has been pushed back from May 17 to May 20, said City Manager Tom Bakaly Tuesday.
"Right now, we're just working through it and making repairs. Sometimes it takes longer," he said of the process.
Bakaly said the pier will be open in time for the Memorial Day weekend, which begins May 25. Fiesta Hermosa, a longtime staple event in the city, is set to open May 25 and run through May 27.
